Are You Capable?”
“Some men see things as they are and say, “Why?” I dream of things that never were and say, “Why not?”
– George Bernard Shaw
The second pillar surrounds the concept of your capabilities. Now that we have established that everything is possible for you, we need to dig out more for the foundation and establish if you have the capability to do what you desire.
Do you believe you are capable of achieving what you previously deemed impossible? Well, let’s walk through this. If you now truly believe that your impossible has become possible, the next obvious step is to start gaining the capabilities.
You may not be currently capable of achieving what you want. Say you want to run a mile in less than 6 minutes, but you weigh over 300 pounds. It will probably not happen right away. You will need to start training and eating right. Over time and will consistent dedication and effort, you will break that mark.
How many examples do you want of people transforming their lives, gaining the capabilities and achieving their goals? There are countless in all spectrums of life. Whether it’s work, sales, fitness, health, or family and friends, we can cover the entire spectrum of life and show example after example forever of this type of belief. We can show you Olympic sprinters who run faster than 99% of the human race with no legs; we can point out quadriplegic man who speaks through a machine that make millions of dollars a year and has changed science forever. There are hundreds of thousands of people who have accomplished great things in their lives that we will never hear of as well.
The truth of this foundational pillar is this. You have within you the capabilities to achieve the “impossible”. Even more core to this belief is that you already know how. You don’t need me to explain it. You know what to do to gain those capabilities to make it happen. I get so tired of hearing people say, “if only I knew where to start.”
You know! You’ve always known. It may be you know exactly who to talk to, what book to read, what foods to eat, what questions to ask. You know what to do.
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.”
